It's in Tucson (just take Speedway east until it dead ends at the Rincon Mountains). The ranch borders Saguaro National Park and forest service land, and some of the rides venture into both. For this particular ride, we stayed on the ranch's property, 640 acres of beautiful desert!
Almost like stepping into a western. In its own way, there is a sense of exhilaration when you steadily traverse through that landscape via horseback. It's all the nature around you, I guess. Ranches like that do serve a big helping of nature and wonder.
How was the journey? Was it too hot that time? But I think that despite the scorching heat of the sun, the scenic view of the ranch was enough to take away your fatigue. I would want to experience that kind of trip too!
I'm a freelance writer in the Phoenix area. I'll write about almost anything, but travel is my passion. I love writing about Arizona, in particular, and sharing our wonderful state with others. Check out my book, Great Escapes Arizona, available at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.com.
I used to love my winter rides through the desert. Where is this located? It looks like a pretty area to ride in.
