I went to the 1st Annual BBQ Throwdown in Chandler this weekend.

East Clear Creek

We took a hike last fall and stopped on the way home at East Clear Creek, north of Stawberry.

Deer in Queen Creek

On Saturday, as I drove up Hawes Road, I saw deer near the Sonoqui Wash. It took me by such surprise that I hit the brakes and pulled to the side of the road. Luckily, I had my camera with me. I later learned that someone in the area owns deer, so these animals were probably his and had just gotten out somehow.

Bird

Things have been a little hectic lately, so I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like to lately. Here's a shot from my trip a few weeks ago to the World Wildlife Zoo. I don't know what type of bird it is.
