I set my tripod up, pointed it toward the activity and kept shooting, one shot after another. I probably took about 200 photos and this was really the only decent one (still not what I had hoped for). It's definitely frustrating! I can't tell you how many "great" shots I thought I had caught, only to find a black night sky. There are supposed to be more storms coming over the next week, so I'm going to try again!
I was about to say that I've never been able to catch a strike of lightning in photo but your reply to lizziviggi shows how hard it is... all right, I'll keep trying!
I'm a freelance writer in the Phoenix area. I'll write about almost anything, but travel is my passion. I love writing about Arizona, in particular, and sharing our wonderful state with others. Check out my book, Great Escapes Arizona, available at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.com.
Gorgeous shot! I have tried and failed to capture lightning many times.

ReplyDeleteWell done, said with a bit of envy, never caught a lighting. I'll keep trying too...
