I wrote a blog post (http://www.arizonatravelandadventure.com/) about Kitt Peak National Observatory today. It's one of my favorite things to do in Arizona although I can't really put my finger on why.

Have you also been to the Lowell in Flagstaff, from where the (former) planet Pluto was discovered? I would love to go to an observatory someday. They look so dramatic against our beautiful Arizona sky.

ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Lowell in a few years, but it's a nice observatory, too. Both are good in their own right. I prefer Kitt Peak because it strikes me as more of a working observatory rather while Lowell has a lot more of the Pluto nostalgia. It just depends on what you're looking for.
